Intercom characteristics

Intercoms have found wide practical application in the organization of access systems to residential buildings.

Very often they are installed on the front door of the entrance of an apartment building, as well as in private country houses.

Video intercoms can be equipped with cameras with different resolutions, including those that will broadcast a video stream in high-quality image mode.  A video picture can be displayed on a color or black-and-white monitor, which for different models have different diagonal and resolution.

 

An intercom with video surveillance for an apartment works in almost the same way as a conventional intercom audio system.

When a person approaches a door equipped with an intercom, he dials the number of the apartment to which he came.  At this moment, a ringing signal will occur on the subscriber device of the apartment owner.

After that, the owner of the house can turn on video communication to see who came to him, audio communication can be maintained in parallel with video communication.

After making sure that there is no danger in the area in front of the door, the homeowner can decide to open the front door and let the guest into the house.  To do this, use the button to control the electromechanical door lock.

 

There are many models that support video recording to a memory card - this will allow you to find out what happened in front of the apartment or house, or who came while no one was at home.

In order not to record everything, a video surveillance intercom can often be equipped with a motion sensor.  In this case, the recording will be made in the event that someone approaches the front door.
